Breakfast: Nibbled some Nonya achar, two slices of wheat toast with blueberrry preserves and a glass of iced tea (leftover Twinings Earl Grey from last night) with lime and sugar.
Lunch: Takeaway Hainanese chicken rice set (chicken rice and bok choy) from a vendor in Food Chain at Orchard Emerald Plaza, large soursop juice from HealthWorks on Orchard. Chicken rice was okay but not as wonderful as I recall it being last time, more bony bits and the rice wasn't as fragrant and infused with flavor as I remember it having been previously.
Dinner: Went to Sento Japanese restaurant in StarHub Centre, had a tekka don teishoku (raw tuna over rice and nori, with raw egg, shiso leaf, clear soup and pickles) and two bottles of Asahi. The raw egg was a bit of a surprise, but a somewhat pleasant one, oddly enough. Hadn't noticed that in the picture on the menu. What you do is just mix it up with the rice which cooks it slightly. Like a Korean bi bim bap. Protein!
Makes me think that I should start having natto, rice and raw egg for breakfast at home.
