Breakfast: Watermelon juice from a hawker stand near Chinatown.
Lunch: Chicken rice, baby kailan and a chin chow water at the Chatterbox Cafe in the Meritus Mandarin Hotel on Orchard Road. Supposedly "the best" chicken rice in S'pore, winner of "multiple awards", I thought it was okay... not bad, chicken was fine and the chili sauce was quite good, but the rice wasn't as fragrant and tasty as I was hoping for and it was definitely overpriced. I think I'll be sticking with the food courts and hawker stands. (Which have the added advantadge of being hella cheaper. Did I just say "hella"?)
Dinner: Stir-fried kailan with oyster sauce, fresh soursop juice from the vendor down the street and smattering of items I picked up at BreadTalk earlier in the afternoon. ("Chai Porlitics", "Bibi and Baba", "Nonya Chunk" and "Rockafella")
