Breakfast: Finally tried Chicken Singaporridge at the CentrePoint basement McDonald's, was actually pretty good. It's just jook, but for something you get at The Golden Arches, it was pretty decent. Later a perfectly awful iced mocha something or other at Starbuck's after going to the gym.
Lunch: Chicken rice set, soursop juice. You know the drill. And if you don't, you can read the archives.
Dinner: Went out looking for dinner around 11pm, but Tamaya, the Japanese place on Cuppage was closing, and nothing else that looked vaguely open piqued my interest. Figured I'd go to Mos Buger, but they were closed up too, as was the Burger King.
Briefly considered going to the 7-Eleven across the street and investigating the heat lamp-fortified glass case filled with disgusting looking fried fish sausage and fritter things (at least, that's what I imagine they are... not really sure) but nixed that idea and had decided to call it a wash when some mamasan spotted the lone ang mo that is me stumbling around in the dark on Orchard Road, and proceeded to offer me "nice girl for you" (last time it was "young girl", I guess they got old waiting) available in varieties such as Chinese and Russian, and promising "very good service". I politely declined with a couple of "no thank yous" while fiddling with a soda machine, trying to procure a warm, flat Pepsi. She tried offering her card in case I changed my mind, but eventually gave up, I got my drink and came back to the house.
Made a tuna with cheddar cheese and capers (which I couldn't taste) sandwich, a couple of little potato medallion things and warmed up a can of cut green beans. Could somebody please direct me to the nearest trailer park? I despertely need to locate the ambrosia Jell-O mold for dessert. Thanks.
