Lunch: Ordered a large mesquite chicken and bacon sub at Quizno's... got a mesquite chicken, bacon and GUACAMOLE sub. Which was okay, but it didn't need the guacamole. And neither did I. Seemed to increase the price drastically, too. But I wasn't in the mood to argue and make them go back and do the whole thing over.
Got the combo with chips and an iced tea.
More meat this time around, and overall the sandwich was a bit more flavorful than my previous two Quizno's encounters, but still seemed lacking. Consistently mediocre. Not like I should expect otherwise from a corporate chain food-like-substance vendor outlet in a strip mall. Universal burger predictability.
Dinner: Kung pao chicken and steamed rice at Daimo, iced Hong Kong sytle milk tea. Complimentary sweet red bean soup for dessert.
I requested the kung pao chicken extra spicy, but if anything it seemed maybe less potent than the kung pao prawns I had there a few nights ago. Perhaps I should have asked for extra dried chillis in it and told them not to make it "gwei lo spicy". (i.e., not very spicy at all)
