Lunch: Some sort of canned congee with red beans, oats, etc. that I picked up at 99 Ranch.

Dinner: Tempura and chicken kushiyaki dinner set at Yokohama, large Asahi, a bit of ocha. Good portions, but the taste underwhelmed me. Sub-futtsu. I mean, there wasn't anything wrong with it, per se, but there wasn't anything particularly right about it either.

Ate all the tempura, wondering where the flavor was. Best bit was a surprise crunchy root vegetable which produced unnerving hair-like strings when you took a bite of it then moved it away from your mouth. Apparently it was moutain yam... yamaimo, I think it's called. New experience, I liked it.

The kushiyaki didn't taste like much of anything, save for the burnt bits. I realize that I barely even touched my rice, only occasionally picking up small bites of it, and utilizing the bowl more as something for my left hand to do than as anything to actually eat out of.

Snack: 2 cups of Japanese green tea, slice of kaya toast, small box of raisins.

Later: Bowl of Nissin tempura soba. Greasier than whatever the other brand I usually get is, and not as tasty, either.
